Laser treatment for the effective removal of cellulite
Many women are troubled by stubborn fat-dimples on their thighs. Women often refer to the cellulite deposit as “cottage cheese” thighs. There are many so-called cellulite treatments including special diets, exercises, massagers, vacuum suction machines, lotions and vitamins. Dr. David Amron advises his patients that the majority are not effective at removing cellulite as there is little evidence that these over-the-counter treatments work.
But there is hope! Cellulaze™ is revolutionary because no other laser attacks cellulite beneath the skin where the true issue begins. This minimally invasive treatment, created by Cynosure, Inc. delivers long-lasting results after only one treatment!
How Does Cellulaze™ Treatment Work for the Reduction of Cellulite?
Dr. David Amron uses a unique Cellulaze™ cannula (thin tube) to access the fat tissues that lead to the appearance of cellulite below the skin. Through the cannula, high-powered laser energy is directed at fibrous bands which pull downwards and create dimpling underneath the skin. With the destruction of these fibrous bands the skin releases creating a smooth result. The laser energy also stimulates tightening of the tissues and promotes thicker skin.
How Effective Is Cellulaze™?
More than 90% of patients surveyed one year after Cellulaze™ treatment have reported that they are “satisfied” or “very satisfied” and most patients say they would definitely recommend Cellulaze™ to a friend. Some of the reasons for these rave reviews are:
- Cellulaze™ offers palpable results after only one treatment that can be finished in as little as one hour.
- Cellulaze™ has been studied and found to increase the thickness of the skin by 25% or more.
- Patients who worry that this thick skin will be less healthy can rest easy knowing that Cellulaze™ promotes elasticity as well and can improve elasticity by as much as 30% or more.
- Thickening and increased elasticity both help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Who Is A Good Candidate For Cellulaze™?
Cellulaze™ is effective on a broad range of candidates but has proven to be most effective on women who display cellulite in the thighs who maintain a healthy diet and a healthy weight. Schedule your consultation with Dr. Amron to determine if Cellulaze™ is right for you.
Is It Painful?
Cellulaze™ is considered a minimally invasive procedure and is performed under only local anesthetic. Most patients say the sensation is minimal and describe the sensation as pressure at the site of the treatment. Patients may need to limit physical exercise for several days immediately following the treatment and mild aches may be felt for a short period.
How Many Treatments Are Necessary?
Cellulaze™ is effective after a single treatment. Patients will return for subsequent follow up appointments but will not need to return further treatments on the same area.
How Long Does Cellulaze™ Take?
The length of the treatment is proportional to the size of the area being treated, and while small areas can take an hour or less, larger areas can take two hours or slightly more.
How Long Does Cellulaze™ Last?
Cellulaze™ results have been long lasting in patients 3 years out (2009 Clinical Trial). The final results come on gradually for two to three months and regular exercise and a healthy diet can help patients ensure that the results stay with them for as long as possible.
Does Cellulaze™ Leave Large Scars?
No. The scars from Cellulaze™ are quite small and usually heal very well. Many patients find that the scars become nearly invisible with normal treatment and quality skin care, but patients who are worried about scarring can ask Dr. Amron about steps they can take to ensure the best healing and most flawless skin.
How Long Is Recovery From Cellulaze™?
Cellulaze™ requires only the use of local anesthesia and is an outpatient procedure. This means you’ll be able to return home after the treatment and a short observation. Dr. Amron will explain about the expected bruising and healing, but these symptoms can actually be quite minimal in a number of patients. Depending on the extent and location of your treatment you may need to wear compression garments for a few weeks.
How Much Does Cellulaze™ Cost?
Cellulaze™ costs will vary based on the area of treatment and the size but average costs fall between $5000 and $7000. All cost will be fully explained by our Patient Care Coordinator.
